Steamed Tri Colour Egg

Ingredients A:-

  • 2 Eggs, 1 Century Egg, 1 Salted Egg
  • Vegetable Oil 1 tbsp
  • Water 80ml


Ingredients B:-

  • 1 Spring Onion
  • Sesame Oil 2 tbsp


Method :-

  1. Place steamer rack into inner pot. Put century and salted egg within.
  2. Close the inner pot. Put inner pot into appliance slot.
  3. Select “Steam” and set time to 10 minutes. Press “Start/Cancel”.
  4. Remove inner pot when steaming complete.
  5. Open inner pot cover (Caution Hot!), carefully remove eggs from inner pot.
  6. Remove egg shell from century egg. Halve salted egg and remove contents from eggshell.
  7. Cut both egg into smaller pieces and set aside.
  8. Crack 2 eggs into bowl and beat well.
  9. Add water and mix throughly. Filter eggs 3 times for smoother surface.
  10. Grease bowl with vegetable oil.
  11. Place century and salted egg pieces inside. Pour in the egg mixture slowly.
  12. Cover with aluminium foil.
  13. Place into inner pot and close put into appliance slot. Select “Steam” and set time to 20 minutes. Press “Start/Cancel”.
  14. Remove inner pot when steaming complete.
  15. Open inner pot cover, remove bowl from inner pot. (Caution Hot!)
  16. Remove foil.
  17. Drizzle with sesame oil. Top with excess century and salted egg pieces.
  18. Add a scattering of Spring Onions. Enjoy!
